What are analytical instruments?

The term is defined as “appliances, tools, or devices that qualitatively and/or quantitatively measure the composition, properties, structure, status, etc., of substances.”

Analytical instruments are classified by application, such as for laboratory (experiments and research), the environment (pollution), process and on-site measurement, maintenance and working environment, medical examination devices, automation-related devices and information processing systems, and bio-related analytical instruments, plus others.
